After our high school orchestra director recommended my three friends and me to some people inquiring about needing musicians for things such as corporate parties and weddings we decided to formally establish our group.  I took the position of group manager and made up contracts that discussed money, reasonable playing conditions for us and our instruments, and timelines.  I also began advertising on Facebook, Wedding Wire, and The Knot.  I coordinated all emails, made travel arrangements, handled the money, and took care of arranging, acquiring, or renting music.  The opportunity accidentally came to be, but resulted in over 40 bookings and was a fun way for me to play my cello, be involved with weddings and events, and learn a lot.
