The majority of the curriculum for my Meeting and Event Management class at Grand Valley State University was centered around planning and executing an event with all of my classmates.  Our professor chose our client for us and we were tasked with executing a successful event for her.  Our client was Lisa Knapp, the associate director at the GVSU Career Center.  She wanted us to create an event to excite and educate freshmen and sophomore students about the Career Center.  Some of the biggest things she asked of us in our client meeting with her were to educate students about the Career Center, to meet up students with their career advisors, and to get students signed up for Handshake while entertaining and exciting them.
